Hi all, I'm incredibly new to buying and selling domains. I just wanted to get an idea of the best escrow to use for doing so. I already know about Sedo but are there any others out there that take a lower %?

Thanks!

Thanks accelerator. I'm under the impression that Sedo might be the best option anyway.

Ive used escrow.com quite abit where the buyer has asked to. I always tell the buyer to pay all charges plus an extra $50 (us) on top which just about covers the charges I get from my bank when they wire the funds.

Does not bother me as I make the buyer pay. But Sedo is cheaper for escrow.

Escrow.com is proabably the prefered method for large or US dollar transactions Only. (everything has to be converted into Dollars then converted back by you bank - hence the relatively high charges) If the amount is not to large I don't recall ever being let-down working on trust, providing you employ some reasonable background checking

As with Bailey 99% of my sales are done on trust, mostly use escrow when the buyer insists. I shift alot of domains, at least half of what DB does :D

Sedo pricing structure is interesting so if you look carefully at the prices before using their escrow you can save a huge amount on commission, for example I sold a domain the other day for $100 -$10 commission by using a fixed price sale. Normally their commission is minimum $50.

I created a pricing spreadsheet ages ago showing the best type of sale for the lowest commission, I will have to dig it out.
