Best Name For Affiliate ?

I am thinking of trying an affiliate program, i have a few names i think might be good for affiliation but it would be most helpful if i good gather some opinions from some affiliate pro's!......

Which, if any of these names would be good for affiliation?

1.RingtonesDownload.co.uk

2.NetFood.co.uk

3.BudgetTickets.co.uk

4.MobilePackages.co.uk

5.BrazilianPorn.co.uk

Depending on the name, which merchant would you recommend ?

The term you're looking for is merchant, you're the affiliate.

1. ringtones, see awin or td or an independent
2. takeways, I'd have to have a look but a european food delivery service has entered the uk, not sure which network it landed on or you could do food from supermarkets and sell the add on sales
3. ticketmaster or various ticket offerings on AF and WIN
4. sell phones, see all networks.
5. porn, independent or package, not my area.
6. not sure why I keep giving ideas away but I suppose its obvious. :mrgreen:

The best way to do this IMO would be to search for the terms in overture to guage how widely used they are.

Two names i've been wanting to affiliate for a while are:

broadbandcomparison.co.uk
ispcomparison.co.uk

so using my suggestion as above you can see the following:

Searches done in June 2006
Count Search Term
1446 broadband comparison

Searches done in June 2006
Count Search Term
1366 broadband comparison isp
836 comparison isp

So that shows they are fairly regularly searched terms and with some good SEO could become fairly high traffic domains so are worth affiliating and SEO'ing

Try doing the same for the domains you are considering developing to guage how popular the service/product/target market is...then take into consdieration the potential revenue and guage how many affiliate providers cater for your needs or this particular niche.

Bit rushed but I hope it makes sense.

I think he was looking for advice on which name would be best to affiliate, having the keywords in the domain helps SEO no end...thus more traffic...thus more sales/revenue.

That's not to say you can't SEO some-random-domain.co.uk for credit cards if you like, it's just not as easy
