Hey,

I'm building a site that will (hopefully) be funded by direct advertising via banners etc, rather than using adwords or equivalent.

I understand that potential advertisers require proof of traffic before spending their money, so my question to you experienced folk out there is: what is the best way to prove traffic to your site?

Counters? Any counters in particular? The site's logs? Any other methods?

I'd be interested in any answers you can give.

Cheers,
Mike.

normally your hosting company has something thrown in for free.

i think you have a fairly difficult job tracking clicks and arguing about any missed clicks with your banner providers - theres always an element of trust envolved

Thanks for your answers, guys. I'll check out all of these.

Mike.
