I've been building some low key affiliate sites and earning a little extra pocket money for a few years.

Now I want to take it up a level and work towards building a web site or two which could be described more of an online business and generating a bigger income.

One of the things I'll be doing is inviting and collaborating with professionals to give my visitors quality advice and help.

For instance inviting an architect to offer their insight into renovating etc.

Getting some real advice from health and beauty salons for my home waxing site.

Has anyone done this and is willing to share some advice from their own success, trial and errors?

I would select people based on their social authority - if you pick a beauty therapist that has a good Facebook or Twitter following and get them to write something for you and then share, you'll extend your audience a lot. Most people are flattered to be asked to write something in those kinds of fields so you should get some good stuff from it.

Thanks Jenni, a good point about asking people with a strong online social presence.

I've approached a couple of building businesses for a DIY I have and will have a look on twitter for beauty salons with plenty of tweets and followers.
