I've been watching the €/Click rate on one of my adult domains this month, and it seems that the more clicks it gets the lower the CPC rate is, it's gone down from €0.33 to €0.27 in the last week alone. My question is why.

Surely, if somebody clicks a link and you earn €0.33, then if the rate is lowered to €0.27 then of course every subsequent click from that point on is €0.27, but for Sedo to lower all your previous clicks to €0.27 as well, I think is wrong or am I missing something here?

I've noticed this too....but it doesnt' always happen.

For example, I could have a couple of €0.20 clicks followed by 3 €0.15 clicks, which you'd assume would earn €0.85....but as you say it can sometimes be 5 x the lowest click rate or perhaps an average.

I don't know myself and at presently I don't earn enough to worry about it...but I am curious so would appreciate some feedback from Sedo :D

Hello Everyone,

The number of clicks has no impact on the CPC. Dynamic pricing means that the CPCs adjust daily to reflect changes in the keyword's performance at ad-provider level. Our ad-provider adjusts the keyword prices daily and their system of "intelligent" pricing also means that tweaking your keywords every 10-14 days is the best way to make the most of the changing trends in keyword performance.

Kind regards,

Shaun
