For you that know Simon:

On Thursday, Simon did a long ride out in Thailand on his Kawasaki to Chiang Mai from Pattaya.

On the return, his mate on a ZZR 1400, hit a lorry and was killed today. Luckily Simon was in a following group.

Sorry to hear that. Glad to hear Simon is Safe. Had one of those sinking feelings when I first saw this thread.

Just read this in my local paper HEARTBROKEN mourners have said goodbye to Matthew Jenkins, who died in a motorbike crash in Thailand. and even though it seems it isn't the same guy (dates are wrong) it reminded me of your post you made.

Sorry to hear about both guys sad news on both counts

Yeah - it's not a place for motorbikes. Simon's not riding on the road at all now. He's taken to the track which is a LOT safer.
