Yes, standard members can only edit their own post content and not the title...

And any data I require altered as part of the data protection act, acorn is exempt?

The DPA (1998) only covers personal information afaik, so your thread title would be exempt unless you put in your personal details.

Furthermore, the argument would be that as you supplied the information, and that AD didn't request the information, it would fall outside the DPA as well.
