Are (UK) developed web sites sold on these boards? If not does anyone know any good UK web sites where developed web sites are bought/sold?

Thanks
Lee

sedo offers some websites for sale (sedo.co.uk)
havent seen them else where - would be interested to know as well

again it begs the question is a developed website worth more than a domain name?

been looking at affiliate schemes for some of mine but what i really dont like is that you site basically becomes a redirect to someone elses.

i have seem that amazon does a system where it looks like you never leave the site but many of the other affiliate systems are just linking to products.

does anyone have any nifty ideas to retain visitors to use you site as a portal - ALL the time?

Charlie,

You need to think content. This can be provided dynamically by RSS feeds (usually for News updates).

We just did a Poker site with Headlines that come in via an RSS script:
http://www.internet-poker.co.uk

A forum :-) can be useful to to give people a reason to hit the site regularly.

Take a look at www.storebuilder.co.uk it is stuffed full of ways to build sites that bring traffic. There is no silver bullet to this tho, it takes time and skill.
