I wondered if it was a victim of the v2 proposals but it wins .uk currently, so yeah it seems cheap.

It's victim in the fact the whole V2 fiasco has all but paralyzed the reseller market as a whole.

I don't think it would have affected things here - there isn't any realistic launch mechanism that would mean the .uk isn't given to this one. I can't see anything other than 'earliest reg' or 'everything to the .co.uk' being used. The domain is good enough that having to pay a reg fee on the .uk also is surely not a consideration for a buyer?

Your right that's certainly the case for the more UK savvy investor. Its surprising though that some long term forum users here still come asking for advice at this late stage what it all means how it might work.
I exchanged an email or two with one of the big American brokers who said the feedback he was getting from most his subscribers is that they didn't want to touch co.uk's until all the uncertainty was resolved

Forums are a lot of work and many no matter how good the name don’t make money? No first to market advantage, multitude of others official and not out there. I’d see the investment needed as being higher risk than you need to take and better ones out there but wish the buyer luck with it….
