Looks like they didn't own it previously, previous registrant was: http://who.is/domain_archive-uk/tcb.co.uk, it must have been the new poster on their forum posting incorrectly about the domain.

I believe in the more actively approaching firms, end users, potential buyers etc than auctions… Suppose its better than the good old “register it they will come” approach to names though ...
