I dithered about bidding and decided against it; but TBH I wouldn't know what to do with it - development potential not great etc and I wouldn't have paid that for it either (tight, lol). ;)

For an investment, I'd rather spend that kind of ££££ on a decent generic .co.uk. :)

Still a profit for the seller ~£500.

Better combinations of letters should yield higher values in the years to come.

Did it sell from Nom at Auction for £1100? I thought the cheapest LL was about £2k'ish.

Ty did a great write up on it when it happened, it gave all the prices and buyers if I recall correctly.

I think the ones like PR, HR etc will do well but these will struggle. It is one thing if they make a profit in 10 years time, but imagine using that 2k to buy a decent generic and use it for 10 years. You'd make more doing that in my opinion.

Unless cash flow isn't an issue and to 99% of us in this game it is, I wouldn't be holding these.

£930.

Not all, Ty only reported about half the sales. http://exacts.co.uk/nominet-short-domain-auctions-who-got-what/ £900 for yx_co_uk is the lowest.

"Unlikely" combinations on any domain (LL or LLL) will always have varying degrees of saleability, hence that reflection in the purchased prices.

i'd rather have a really nice lll for a fraction with far more potential endusers
