Some decent sales but I always hate seeing names like audiologic.co.uk on there which has been bought by the company. Blatant bad faith as far as I can see.

FastQuote seems a decent brandable

Why thank you, I thought so too ;)

I wondered how Sedo sales appeared in this section, guess I know now. Some background on the sale....

After running a small web/printing/affiliate business for 8 years, and buying 30 odd domains for projects that I never fully focussed on, this was my biggest outlay on a domain.

Decided I needed to start afresh - work on a single site and see what happens, rather than trying spread my time over a few sites. I have a strong background in SEO and wanted an affiliate insurance based site for flexiblity of hours mainly.

Needed good foundations to grow on, I loved the name - hence the sale. Tried to negotiate with the seller but didn't happen - and looked like it had been listed a while so I figured it was worth the price to me.

Wish me luck!

With legal fees, staff costs, time and hassle in general, maybe it's just easier and potentially cheaper to stump up the $2500?? I do agree with you, though.

These lists always highlight the "list it and forget it" method. I wonder how many of these have been hanging out there for years, then all of a sudden the owner get's a nice £xxxx offer in their inbox.

I'm surprised that buddys.co.uk and dimples.co.uk got sold with such good deals!
