Does G allow you to sell text links? I remember reading that that is against it's T&Cs?

They don't mind however they would prefer you to use the no follow tag when selling links, ie

<a href="http://www.example.com/" rel="nofollow">This is a paid link</a>

That way the person buying links does not benefit from pagerank flow or from a vote from your site to it, they see link buying/selling as altering their organic results and have penalised link buyers and link sellers who set out to sell pagerank/ranking links.

Cheers guys, thought as much - I guess hence why people pay so much for high PR links to their sites.

Nobody can get banned this way. If this theory is true then every single internet marketing will collapse which includes Google itself.

Google is itself offering paid results. Does that mean that Google will get blocked on Google.com :o

Google has no right to interfere in the business matters of your
website. If you have a gaming website and you are selling charity links then it will result in penalty due to non-compatibility of links on the targeted pages and not due to any other factor.

The dont mind buying/selling links for traffic purpose but they are against buying/selling links those pass PR juics (links that dont have the "nofollow" tag), if you want sell dofollow links my advice is to make them relevent to your website topic so it will look more naturla .. you can simply say I dont know even what is nofollow and Google edtior may blink his eye in this case

I was using Text Link Ads and while the earnings were quite nice the sites were penalised by Google, so eventually I had to stop using them.
