trying hard to find information about drop catching. any got a link they can post so i can read up on this subject.

This forum contains loads of info on UK catching, moreso than anywhere else I'm aware of... Especially in the dropcatching section. What sort of names are you wanting to catch - .uk domains or others?

I don't know anything about .coms so can't really help you there :)

But all the .co.uk information that you need is here:

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/drop-catching-domain-names.html

If you go back over the last 6 - 12 months you'll find pretty much all you ned to know. Nobody is going to lay it out on a plate for you because in many cases it's the bloodline of their business...

... but it really is all in there.

Get a cup of tea and start reading :)

In summary though you need the following to catch UK names well:

- A Nominet membership and tag
- A DAC subscription
- A dedicated server somewhere with a good connection (ie decent data center rather than on the end of an ADSL line)
- A programmer (unless you can do this yourself)
- Tenacity, patience and cunning

Good luck :)
