Drop catching

Hi all,
I have recently join nominet and have a drop catching script and dac access but am trying to find out how to create a drop list? I have drt and can download zone files but can anyone tell me how they create their lists or is it a big secret? or can anyone point me to information?

I assume you then use a couple of days allowance creating a drop list?

You scan the list made from the zone file and get the domains status and relevant dates, from those dates you can work out which domains are dropping on a given day. for example, todays drops all have a renewal date of 31-05-2007 and 07-06-2007.

You really need a custom script to do it via the dac as you will need to scan millions of domains to get a good quality master list.
