Hi Guys,

Me again :) I'm thinking of developing DSLRs.co.uk as a personal project but would appreciate any views as to what you think the domain might be worth before I do?

Thanks in advance,

Craig

Shrinking market of those that do buy most tend to go to manufacture brand sites or already well established, Return just wouldn’t warrant the time just a non starter? Cant see any end user's going for it prob why com etc are all non sites

I spend big on my camera gear. I'm currently waiting on the canon eos 5D mk4 which is my next upgrade in 2014. I currently use a 5d mk1 as my back up body, 5D mk2 as my main body, and a Canon XH-A1 for video.

I use Canon L glass, 2 basic lens a 16-35mm F2.8 L, and a 24-70mm F2.8 L, next on my list is a 70-200mm F2.8 IS L.

The company I buy from was happy for me to use my own aff site links to buy from, and my last purchase was £1600 for the 24-70mm F2.8, the commission was £32 on a £1600 item.

The site doing camera stuff I have, has about 2,000 uniques a month and sells stuff like lensbabies and gimmicky things with the odd bit of kit I review myself from my own use and i've made low xxx in comissions despite 15k+ of sales (that's over about 18 months).

If you have an out the box solution, go for it, otherwise the commissions are pitiful.

You have some great kit.
