I know it's got the e- but is it okay in this case - a lot of people refer to it as e-commerce?

Anyway, any ideas on whether it's any good?

As you say the - does it no favours. However, this is a profitable niche and so there is money to be made if you can develop it out into a popular website.

This is a domain name with some potential.
