I 'jumped ship' from rivals after eight years (got the sack, after causing trouble and blamed for things I didn't do but they took their opportunity and got rid thankfully but still stole my content) and I got a sweetener and moved to Vital, many others were jumping ship and moving to clubfanzine but I've been away 3 months so not sure what all the gossip was there, I think a few moved back.

http://rivals.stage.mykindaplace.com/news/ thats the new site backed by sky - launching soon, sky didnt speak a word about their plans and left a monkey in charge who'd been spouting rubbish for a few years leaving everyone in the dark, no doubt to further his use in the company, his use to us was nada.

I'm happy now so whatever sky, rivals, clubfanzine or zepedee get up to, none of my business, but I thought I'd just pass on the link as I was given it a few nights ago. I, they, should be on £1k a month minimum so I hope they're getting that, I joined a network with less users but i'm happy and without politics and ****holes for management, sometimes you to go back a bit to take a step forward.

Good luck rivals, may your launch be as big as the titanics but may you sink quicker with all on board.

just be prepared to defend it if LFC come in for it, they have .co.uk by the looks of it but I havent checked whois. Anyone can set up a fan site but whether they have the time to do the articles and be any good at it, get the fanbase in, get respect and yes earn a little money on the side, is another thing.

If it's for type ins, then measure your traffic and get paid for it by redirecting on contract or just the usual stuff. You could write an ebook and guide and earn money on a book called anfield, but you'd have to pay someone to write the content, generics need work so that the content and use matches the quality of the name. As people expect that.

It's not easy running a fanzine, I've been at it nearly nine years, business takes the mick and abuses your passion and going alone means you can't put as much effort into it unless you're retired. I sold part of my contract when, thankfully, I got the shove from rivals - sold so that I don't have to work on it anymore and could move to the new network, but I do and I'm happier.

Running an online fanzine is a game of war, one other site just nicked a rumour from another site and one from mine and made a story out of it. Scum. So I'll ridicule the thief in the morning.

You're a liverpool fan then or just like traffic?

Anfield.com

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet...

As Anfield is also a geographic location I'm hoping LFC can't claim it! Just as I anticipate that Coventry BS can't claim Coventry.co.uk as their own.

Might put it up for sale... when i manage to sort out the transfer!
