i would appreciate your views on this domain and its possible value

I think it would be more appropritaely targeted at the US market due to the 'stores' part of the domain - but I am always prepared to be wrong!!

You're right about the "stores" part of the domain. I'm fairly sure your best deal would be with a US buyer.

As for price, i would think to the right person (i.e. someone wanting an "ethical" themed domain to build a site) it would be worth low £xxxx.
To a domainer (i.e. someone on Acorn) i'd say maybe lower £xxx.

If you were to develop it into a directory or review site featuring ethical stores in the US then it would likely be worth more. Get some traffic, get some ad revenue or even charge for a listing and you'd get a better offer from someone looking to buy a complete package (domain + site + earnings).

Thanks for that DCG, I really appreciate your advice.

As for the nickname it was something that I somehow got tagged with at university - my name is Paul and I look (or at least looked!!) quite 'European' apparantly!?!? My abilities on the football field do however fall short of my richer namesake!!! As for my allegiance I think I'll keep that under my hat so as not to lose any further help in the future!!!
