"family name" gets 320 exacts on Google Keyword tool. If you don't use the "exact" setting, the numbers mean very little. It's not a bad domain as such, but the traffic wouldn't be there undeveloped. The key expression in this space is clearly "surname" which gets 6,600 exacts.

You've used the broad match type figures rather than exact, exacts are 320 for the term. Global results have little bearing on .UK names as they domain don't appear on Google in countries other than the UK, global is for the like of .com and .net
This is the site history for the domain, which shows 1 entry for 2005 where it was just the control panel default login page, so there's no history as an actual site:

I wouldn't value it at much really, if it was developed in to a site with a large database of all family surnames, then it might have some legs, but limited appeal as a domain only.
