felt boxers and 74 went very cheap

congrats on sales redbird!

The buyer of boxers got a good deal ;)

felt boxers and 74 went very cheap...

I was the winning bidder for boxers. It's nice to see your comments about it being a good buy - It did stretch the bank. The site isn't resolving at the moment but I did put a quick amazon store up...

Not sure how to make the money back quickly apart from selling it on...

You should have bought this one mate, would have been a nice addition to your other undewear names ;)

Hi Ben

I did see it listed on DL at the time and almsot bought it for the BIN of £3,500, but I decided to run PPC on it and from the results, it was not conclusive what people were looking for :

Boxers = boxers shorts / underwear

Boxers = Mike Tyson / David Haye

So I decided not to buy it or bid for that reason alone :)

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=boxers&meta=&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= If you take a look at the front page of google, you will also see what I mean

freeoffers.co.uk - a good looking domain, very cheap, especially compared to specialoffers.co.uk (owner wants more than £100k)

i believe both freeoffers.co.uk and freesamples.co.uk were bought by Kass, who used to be a member here.

He also runs freeonlinegames.co.uk so a great fit !

Why don't you put 3 main sections/ subdomains on it (or pick the best).

1 for boxer shorts with corresponding store
1 for boxing with corresponding store/adsense
1 for boxer dogs where people can buy/sell them (they go for a lot of money - £400 to £500 each!)

Get people to cough up £50 per listing maybe, plus sell dog related stuff.

Or start breeding them :)

I would have thought that boxers (the shorts) are by far the most likely to sell in quantity online, and to carve out a bit of a niche (outrageous/funny/whatever) in the novelty gift market.

Thanks Dashu/Edwin for the ideas. The Amazon store I have up at the moment - mens underwear was the most likely idea for me (as Edwin suggests) at some point I will try and do a custom mens underwear website.

I also had the same issue of figuring out what people were looking for when searching for boxers (underwear, dogs, fighters).

If I was more of a boxing fan, or bred boxers then I might sway more that way - but I know more about boxer shorts than the other two ;)
