hello to any one reading this...i live in glastonbury and work as an engineer in avonmouth...funnily enough,i work on simple pipe fusion equipment with very complicated user interfaces. just the opposite of computers!!

i like the idea of selling domain names (who wouldn t) and am here dipping my toes in what feels like warm water.

the only other forum i am a member of, is microsoft s recently(relitivley speaking) aquired sysinternals forum and website.

this is cos i m nuts about computer security and performance,although i m never happier when a computer is giving off blasts of colour and emitting strange sounds.....

oh yes..i only own three domain names

best: treanda.co.uk (a drug newly approved by the US food and drugs addministration)

Warm Welcome Roger,

Sysinternal tools are simply awesome! They really have saved me countless hours tracking down problems. Particularly Filemon.

Hope you have success with your domain purchasing and fingers crossed that treanda become a well search drug once it establishes itself. As for pipe-line-industries-guild.co.uk, we've all done something similliar :mrgreen:

EDIT: Oh and my advise would to put some info put about Treanda rather than parking. Even it's a one pager.

thankyou David....whoops,too late,i jumped right in there and parked them!!

does this put me at a disadvantage?

not too sure what you do to put the names about just yet,so i will be putting the time in to do some research.

sometimes in life i think it is much better to learn from other peoples mistakes

The reason I said to put some content up and not park it, is simply to try and monetise the domain as I feel it has potential.

With the current parking page, you’ll earn maybe few Euros a month if you’re lucky. I suspect this traffic would mainly be all from type-ins.

If you put up some content relating to the drug Treanda then you’ll begin to establish the site in Google. Should this drug become more popular you’ll probably be one of the most established sites leading to higher search engine rankings. This should eventually lead to more organic traffic which will lead to more traffic. Such quality traffic will lead to visitors clicking adsense links looking for relevant content.

My advice is to leave it parking whilst you knock up a few pages, and then when ready, switch it over.
