Fundraising secured against domains and sites?

Is this a thing does anyone know?

The reason I ask is as i'm looking to raise some funds for a project and banks don't seem helpful. I know the likes of ebay sellers can get loans based on their sales value, property developers can get bridging loans, so what about website owners?

I think this might be a gap in the market as you could borrow against your website or domain, transfer it to the lender until monies re-payed.

This isn't me asking for a loan btw. I'm just wondering if anyone else would fine this useful, or is it a viable business opportunity?

Any thoughts on this or I am way off the mark?
