Hi All,

I have one site which is getting around 30 hits a day. I have google ads on it - but seem to only be getting 5cents per click - is there anyway I can set a minimum for the amount an advertiser will pay for a click for those that are displayed on my site...

thanks in advance!

Geo

No, I don't think you can (otherwise everyone would be doing it ;) )
You can, however, filter the ads (ie ban some of them) so if you think a couple are very low paying, you could block them (but bear in mind that these may be the ones people are clicking on, and there's no guarantee that the ads that replace them will a) pay better b) actually have users clicking on them. 5p is better than 0p ;) ).

You could also try modifying your page to have better keywords on it, although you need to wait for the spider before the ad changes will take effect. Placing high paying keywords on your pages will increase the click payout, however it is really dependent on your site as to whether you can do this or not (at least not in a 'good' way).

The problem is that adsense (as ever ) is a black box. There's talk that "Smart pricing" may also be a factor, and Google may also take the type of content on the pages into account when it calculates payouts and ads. Not too sure on this one though...

Hey

No theres is no way to set limits, as clem says filtering is an option, the best way is only to have ads serving on your best click pages, or most clicked site ideally with the highest click pay e.g. my finance related site pulls in 1.80 a click , the site is aimed at finance therefore only high paying ads will serve,. You may wel ahve been hit by smart pricing this checks all your pages and sites and kind of spreads out the cost of ahigh pay to other low click sites or pages dropping your 1.80 to approx 18.
So id recommend seeing which of your page sare performing least well, and tuning your high click pages and optimizing with higher paying kws.

good luck any probs pm me
;)

update

Hi guys, thanks for the advice. The page I am using is literally just one page - it is getting around 40 hits a day - so I just whacked up a page to get some google revenue and a link to a property prices company. So basically it is just the one page.

Was thinking of adding a property price forum to it! Any thoughts - thanks geo...

Try to filter the website which has low paying google ads, usually this site is MFA site. Generate your list here _http://www.adsblacklist.com, then put it in your google adsense filter
