Google Image search

Im having a issue with google image search,
One of my sites has got its images indexed in there so im getting alot of traffic for something that is no good as it is people searching goggle images, giving me false readings for my traffic.
I have used the robot.txt file to stop goggle indexing images but its still doing it and im still getting traffic from google images, anyone got any ofther ideas to stop this?

Yea got that in there, but google doesnt seem to take any notice of it

its been about 2 weeks, just cos i posted on here didnt mean thats when i did it, i was asking as it had been awhile and hasnt worked

In my experience een 6-8 weeks is too short. I have had better success using the URL removal request, http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=181721

Its ok now, I few tweeks to the image name and adding everything seems to have stopped it now, which is good now as i get a true traffic reading

You may use google web master tool and block indexing your pages having images or use the meta tag noindex, from indexing your pages. If google already have indexed your pages and images then this will take time to update.

i think getting traffic from google image search is good point
i wonder why you event throw away this advantage...?

as my sites not meant for searching for images as people come to the site to look at photos reliase its not for that and leave, leaving me with a high bounce rate.
