Recent research from a number of sources suggests that mobile devices are being increasingly targeted by hackers tryng to steal information from both businesses and consumers.

Juniper Networks has reported a 400% increase in malware to mobile platforms since the summer of 2010, with the single greatest source being application downloads. More worryingly, a recent YouGov survey found that over a third of Brits are aware of the threats posed to their smartphone, but hadn’t taken any steps to protect against them.
