Hi, my name is Steven, I am a NM developer for Channel 4 UK. Joined after a conversation with a friend led me here.

I am not really a "domainer" but I am very interested in them and learning more of this side of the business. There certainly seems to be a lot of info on here.

Hello Mally and thanks. NM is just our own slang for "new media", in TV it tends to mean online content provision. I work on / coordinate much of the web technology used by Ch4 in the UK.

Unfortunately I don't have anything to do with programme content, I'm on the technical side of things only. Mainly organising and developing technology used for streaming, online content, all apps for the channel and external content streaming such as youtube.

I don't know if you remember me Steven, its Stewart Mac, I headed the contract neg with Google and project managed the DDR part of the 4OD deployment on youtube. I remember you taking the helm of the webapp/dev side of things when I was there, after Colin Hamilton left.
