As a hobby been dabbling in UK domain market for about 3 years.

Been using the CHC dropcatcher service but have recently found that it's not grabbing any of the really great domains.

Have decided to try my hand at drop catching and have very recently become a Nominet member and TAG holder (SLATER).

Just trying to put some scripts together and get my head around the DAC service, find it a bit odd that there seems to be a small number of players grabbing most of the decent domains bearing in mind each tag holder has a 432,000 per 24hr queery limit.

Are some catchers using multiple Nominet memberships to increase their DAC usage ? Sure I read some clause in the Nominet t&c's which prevented this.

Anyway enough whinging, good luck to everyone with their catching.

Best 3 domains I have at moment, which to the credit of Dropcatcher were caught by them are:

automobiles.co.uk
analysis.co.uk
bureaudechange.co.uk

Cheers

Mark.

This is indeed very much against Nominet's T&Cs.

It is often suggested that some tagholders are cheating (less so now than before Christmas) but it is seldom proven!

You need to come up with a good, fast script and keep refining it - good luck :)
