Forum rules are that a wanted post should include a budget.
With 434 previous posts, surely JMMC you must be aware of this.

Look I asked for PM's for domains I want and (I am aware of the rules) on a forum I've been involved in for many years!!

I dont think for a minute that you've got anything near what I want but ok budget = £5 to £1000,

Don't try to upset my string, just post.
If you've nothing of value in relation to homesales/seller/s/housesellers/property....... etc, etc...

I've already bought two names that suit on other sites but still hoping that acorn will come through.

Really dissapointed and you personally (almond) dont contact me again or feel the need to get involved in my requests/sales!!

Thanks, Jim.

Bit unfair. Rules are rules!

Posting a budget is helpful to the original poster, as well as the people offeing their domain names in response.

If the budget is too low, it will help the sellers, not too waste their time reponding. If it is quite high - (most) posters will realise that their domains are not of sufficient quality.

In both cases - the time taken to respond to the sellers will be reduced and this will be beneficial to the original poster.

The rule about budgets is quite clear and if long-time members are allowed to flout this rule (which is for the benefit of ALL members - then ALL other menmbers will eventually follow their lead.

You could have said £5 - £1000 in your original post and your post wouldn't have been affected by more than one member asking you what your budget is.

Posters who don't include a budget in their wanted ads, get the responses they deserve.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Jaffaman

Thanks for your comments DOMA1N & Jaffaman.

I know that there are many serious domainers on this forum who are also tiddled off with this type of Wanted Post that mostly ends up being a real time waster.

Best to all.

Mike

I guess there are 2 sides to every story and both sides can be valid.

Sellers don't want to waste their time replying to someone who can't afford what you are trying to sell.

The buyer doesn't want someone inflating their prices to match a budget. A £5 domain suddenly becomes a £500 domain to match a budget.

No matter what you post on here, you will get people trying to sell domains above a budget and others selling a load of crap.

My sentiments exactly!!!

Always bizarre to see sellers complaining about customers actually asking to buy. In most industries that would mean a fairly short sales career

BANG ON THE MONEY BONUSMEDIA - If I'm interested in buying something I'm prepared to outline sectors/niches etc. I do not for a minute want to tell the seller what I'm prepared to pay for it, much less the actual names I want.

All that serves to do is getting your inbox bombarded with worthless rubbish and there too much of those on here and on every forum if it comes it it.

If you have something WORTHWHILE to sell and someone has professed an interest in something similar then PM!

One email is hardly a WOT when you could sell something of value!!

NUFF SAID!!!

It doesn't matter how you word it or what criticisms you may have of members on this forum or if you don't like the replies you receive or how you receive them, the bottom line is that 'rules are rules' and the rules say you must post a budget.
I'm not having a go I'm just pointing out the facts.
But good luck with your search ;-)

Rules are Rules

I agree Doma1n - Rules are Rules.

If you don't think EVERYONE should follow the same rules, please let me know whenever you are driving in the UK, in case you come through a red traffic light when I'm driving through a green light while travelling across you, or if I'm using a zebra crossing while you're driving towards it, or while I'm driving round a country road while you're speeding towards me on the wrong side of the road, or while you are ignoring the Stop! signs at a junction or...........!!

Cheers

Jaffaman

If you don't think EVERYONE should follow the same rules said:
WHAT on earth are you going on about??

Green lights, zebras, speeding!!! - Keep taking the medication mate, or stay away from the drinks cabinet ;)

Posting around midnight always has the possibility of making you look a tiny bit silly the next day.

I won't be responding to the string anymore but for anyone else who is not hallucinating or under the influence and have a strong home/house/property domain feel free to pm me.
