Can anyone help me ?

I need a htaccess file that would do the following :

(1) If you visit the domain redirect to a sub-directory
(2) However if you visit the index.php from any but (URL) then show the index.php

For example :

If you visit www.domain.com then you get redirected to www.domain.com/Welcome/

However if you visit www.domain.com from the page www.domain.com/About-Us/ you would NOT get redirected and the index.php (www.domain.com/index.php) would be shown.

Help please .....

Whats your purpose? If you simply need a different welcome message/info for new visitors, just use a jquery modal window instead of htaccess.

Our client has a live e-commerce site which we cannot touch which sites on the domains root. We want to introduce a splash site / page that willl be shown before the e-commerce store.

Then a jquery modal window will lie over the top of the existing site upon entry. You can also rig it so once it appears once, it wont appear again.
