Scams created to trick shoppers into sharing personal details in the run up to Christmas continue to be reported, emphasising the need for all to remain on guard. The latest scam sees criminal gangs netting millions of pounds through the use of slickly designed websites and even by employing psychologists to write emails to potential victims. Gadgets and phones in particular are being offered for low prices to entice vulnerable consumers to enter their email details, an address, password and card numbers.
