jobs portal - how to get ppl to advertise ??

I've set up a jobs portal on a sub domain of a retail news related site (gets 5 - 7k unique visitors per week) and am wondering if you have suggestions as to how I can attract people to post their vacancies?

So far:
- There's a 728 x90 banner on the main site advertising the job portal
- There's a feed showing latest recruitment articles on the hp of main site
- Have got a recruitment search firm to write articles for the job site

I'm not adverse to offering free ads (for a while) to get things going but have found in the past that free does not always work

Have a good call to action.

Sell the offering well, e.g. give benefits of listing, and show site stats so advertisers know what they're getting.

Look into conversion rate optimisation in general.

Early days for getting anything useful at the moment but one to keep tabs on for sure.

I would check out all the groups for recruiters on LinkedIn and post the link where relevant. Ditto the job groups for the niche.

Many also be worth approaching the group owners and asking if you can appear in their newsletter for a small fee?
