Large wordpress sites - advice needed

Anyone have any wordpress sites with 1m + pages...?

Is it possible?
Can wordpress handle it?

Thoughts appreciated...

From ones I've tried on large sites I would be inclined not to use wordpress. Just from own experiences. Bugs and updates, security and load times have been a problem on big sites but may just be me doing it wrongly.

If you have got any WP pages over 100kb, you are better setting them to cached, that way wordpress only renders them once instead of every single day. Not much use for fully dynamic pages tho.

WP doesnt handle sites with lots of pages very well at all.. Their admission, not mine. You can print the content dynamically from a db by creating your own template. This works fine, but using the WP CMS to generate pages will not be a good idea. Infact, Im not sure how you could use WP to make 1m+ pages. Posts maybe, but pages?
