Keywords for parked domains!
We all know how important it is to select keywords appropriate to your domain traffic..
However it can sometimes prove fairly difficult if the domain belonged to a large complex site..
I’ve managed to improve CTR on a couple of my domains by hosting the domain myself and setting up redirects specific to the content the domain/website used to deliver.
So now when someone clicks a link for
oldwebsite/insurance* (it redirects them to another parked domain with insurance keywords)
oldwebsite/holidays* (it redirects them to another parked domain with holiday keywords)
oldwebsite/games* (it redirects them to another parked domain with game keywords)
Redirects can be setup a number of ways including with wildcards so you can pretty much capture any traffic!
Be sure to check the T&C’s of your parking provider before you play though!
some maybe fussy with how you send traffic ;-)
