My domain for sale

Hi,

Bought www.internetprofit.co.uk about 8 months ago, and have just had it valued by Sedo who have given it a value of £300.

If you want to see the appraisal then just ask and i'll send it to you.

Any sensible offers accepted.

You'll probably get more for it from one of the 'earn money online' people that post leaflets on lamp posts and stick cards on your car...

If I were you, I'd collect a few and give them a call and see...

Why the sarcasm? No need for it really is there. I just want to sell a domain name, which has been appraised at £300. Like i said, i will accept any offers.

Maybe some adult players might be interested too for their AFF/REV share programs as SEO's can be penalised for adult related headers/keywords etc...

Internet Profit .co.uk to my mind is a 'ronseal' of a name...

If I was looking for a 'hard sell' .co.uk name or in the adult biz needing a revshare name, I'd gladly pay 10 x the sedo valuation of £300 easy.

IMO - Maybe you should ask for a re-appraisal - £300 sounds NO WAY right to me... Not sure how the others see this too...

Truth is, I wouldn't want to see you or any other domainer sold short...

After all, we are here to help one another...

And YES - if I had a use for it I'd have already PM'd you...

Sit tight and 'ACTIVELY' explore your markets for potential buyers is my best advice...

Rest assured, it's worth more than £300!

.de is for sale on sedo and has had 4 previous offers...

IMO - SIT TIGHT!!!! (but still actively market)...

Thanks for all the advice mate, appreciate it. Is there anyway i can expose/market the domain name better? It is listed on sedo, but obviousy the more its exposed the better chances of a sale will be (and a higher price).

If you were interested in this domain, how much would you offer me?

Someone offered £150 for it on sedo, which was quickly rejected. I want £500 at least so sent an offer back requesting £700 for it.

IMO the £150 offer is from another domainer... Wouldn't surprise me if they have seen .de has had 4 bids and are acting accordingly...

Most 'business' - 'end users' can see clearly from sedo recent sales that most domains sell for much higher... £150 is really a 'sell on' figure I would say...

See the lyrics thread for an insight to not being caught short... I know it's changed my stance on a name I was considering 'letting go off'...

Personally, I'd wait and see what the .de goes for then review accordingly...

At the very least, get what you want for it...

The person has cancelled the negociation! Shame really, could have done with the money. Do you think an ebay auction would be any good?

One thing you could do Kas, is to point out to your current bidder that av. sedo sales for less 'profile' names are selling much higher and explain that you simply wan't more for it...

If you can, try to find out as much as possible about your potential buyer, maybe their 'sig' offers some clues...

Bear in mind that .de has had four bids... It may well be the buyer is the same guy... he knows what is being offered for .de so .co.uk is the next logical way forward.

May sound a bit 'out there' but I've learned to be mindful... especially this past 24hrs...

One thing you do know now is that the potential buyer is willing to go higher...

Generally I would see the negociations go:
Inital - £150
Counter - £700
Response - £200
Counter - £600
Then hopefully £300-400ish
and settle on your £500.

I wouldnt take lyrics.co.uk sale to think you are being shafted, personally I would say once it gets to £500 take the money and run. Bear in mind the domain does have a BIN set so if a buyer was keen they would just snap it up rather than muck about

I was hoping for that, but he has cancelled! I would like to find out who the bidder was but you cant do this through sedo. Annoying really.

Is it best to put a price on the domain, or just leave it open to offers?

Would just leave as it is, ie. £500 is the price.

Nice and upfront (for a change with domains) , if you get £500 you are happy, and if a buyer wants a name they are more likely to go with you as they know the price.

I wouldnt worry too much about this offer, lots of bidding (real and fake) on sedo... so something else will come along in the future.
