Namedrive backend v v slow

Does anyone else with a large portfolio at namedrive get regular slowness issues with the backend. When clicking on the myportfolio link I often have to wait literally 2 or 3 minutes before the next page loads. I get the same issues when selecting a folder on the next page - Just timed it after I clicked on the folder containing the most domains and it took 1 minute and 36 seconds to load the next page.

There is obviously a fair bit of data to fetch/calculate but database queries should never take this long surely???

Um. aqls. I'm not sure what that symbol means. Is that a 'ditto'?

I'm sorry for the slowness today, I spoke to tech and they said that there were some big database queries being made. One year down the line, we have 700K domains and 13 months' data to somehow display sensibly. We are currently redoing the front end and how it will serve data which means some slowdown for the short term, but longer term speed. The slowdown times should normally be at non-peak times.

Hi Ed, thanks for the reply. To be honest this happens to me almost every time I try and view or do anything with my domains, no matter what time of the day it is. Heres hoping the fix happens quickly.

Hi Grant,

We're aware of this. Our main priority is to make sure that the parking pages are snappy. This is sadly to the detriment of the log in area currently, but we are taking steps which should be finished very shortly to ensure that this is no longer a problem in the near future.

Just like to say thanks Ed, the backend now seems to be running about 100 times faster than it was - doing stuff is no longer highly annoying :)

To tell you the truth, my heart sank when I saw this thread coming up again! We're not finished yet, but hopefully the highly annoying times are past...
