Ebay is also listed as Ebay UK I noticed in alexa post by Monkey the other day (their title tag) I hadn't noticed that before.

Could all be preemptive, positioning themselves for a TM battle.

News.uk is probably what they'd use but I think they'd stick with redirecting it to Newsuk.com as the flagship in all honesty.
