Did anyone else see Watchdog last night & do a quick whois lookup for carengines.co.uk?

Apparently, "Nominet was able to match the registrant's name and address against a 3rd party data source on 10-Dec-2012"

"UK Limited Company, (Company number: 111222)" is obviously false.

"Registrant: Okani ltd " was (assuming it is a UK registered company - as stated) incorporated on 21 Jan 2010 and dissolved on 30 Aug 2011.

So, on the day Nominet claim to have validated the registration data, the registrant didn't legally exist & hadn't existed for over a year.

Is 'data validation' just a job retention exercise at Nominet Towers?

Update:

Data validation:
Nominet was not able to match the registrant's name and/or address against a 3rd party source on 22-Jun-2015
(my emphasis)

Nice to see someone is paying attention!

Not related to the domain mentioned above, but is this a new message in the Who-Is? Just saw this listed on a UK domain regarding data:

Data validation: The registrar is responsible for having checked these contact details
