Reg'd some domains and still not showing up in whois so tried to reg a domain out side of my acccount with NOMINET and tried 123-reg.co.uk but again not showing up in whois.

Anyone?

Nominet are moving offices over the weekend 7 - 9 September 2007. We have moved all of our external services to work from our disaster recovery site.

Unfortunately a database problem at the disaster recovery site has prevented the Automaton from starting. We have escalated this problem with Oracle and will continue to work to get the Automaton back as soon as we can.

We apologise for the inconvenience and will issue updates as the situation develops.

This is a royal pain. I can't get in to change my IP address let alone access the DAC. Message at the secure site says it should have been back up yesterday at 5.00pm

Its another planned change from Nominet, do you really expect it to not go tits up and disrupt the services for the next month

nothing's dropping, even from the back end of yesterday. DAC seems fine though.

Everything seems fine except for the dropping box - no domains being expired so far that I can see.

Jay - does the BDC have a dropping box? Or is it that its just malfunctioning?

Anyone having issues with the Automaton today? I've tried to register 5 names today, all via separate emails, but sent at the same time.

1st time, 1 was registered, no response about the others.
2nd time , 1 was registered, no response about the others.
3rd time, no response at all
