Online UK Domain Tools - Seemly.co.uk

I've spent many hours already developing the tools as it is, and although I do plan to develop them further, shit like this just makes me wonder "what's the point?"

Yep, I felt the same way, that is why I stopped giving out free tools.

Maybe the data isn't as interesting or as helpful as I think it is/was.

It is. But I totally wouldn't blame you if you stopped.

If you need any help or support with anything I'll gladly help you out mate. Just drop me a PM or email. :)

I see what I was missing. A site about domain names that places no importance on the power of a domain. I'm out.

Why are you being such a plonker? He isn't running a business. He isn't promoting a profitable product or service to the general public. He is offering FREE tools that are targeted at domain investors only.

It doesn't matter if the chosen domain was eiwhfuewh348u43895grjogijt8u.co.uk for these FREE tools.

My initial question was why the domain was selected for the site. It was as simple as that. I obviously wish now I hadn't asked but it's done. When I sometimes want to visit the site I find it difficult to recall the name and that's the difference between having xsdgsaljh.co.uk and names co uk. But I see if want to visit the site then that is my problem to overcome. I accept that.

@websaway If you donate regularly to his site, like I do, then it becomes easy to remember the name. You can send one off donations or set up a recurring one. I'm sure it would be appreciated!?

I don't want to rub you up the wrong way but if you have to donate to a site in order to remember the name then we've lost the plot.

I'm not rubbed up the wrong way and I don't donate to remember the site. I was merely hinting that maybe you should donate if you're using the data and tools that are being provided?

In fact if you make a donation today I'll be happy to match it

Never used the site and certainly won't be in the future. I asked a simple question and would have expected a simple answer , instead I ended up receiving abuse.

Interesting perception of feedback in response to your feedback.
I'm sorry (not sorry) you feel that way.

Guys, be nice :)

@seemly - I think you misinterpreted the original question which has perhaps put @websaway out and stirred some ill will.

It's handy to have these tools and I'm sure many of the rest of us appreciate your efforts, whether we use them much or not - and whether we say so or not too.

Latest Update: 'Keywords' column added, and Domain details page

Keywords column:
A new column for domain keywords has been added.
This basically just handles CamelCased or hyphenated names, and displays the 'keywords'.
If there is no CamelCasing or hyphens, the 'keywords' column remains empty.

Domain Details Page:
You can now view more details about a domain sale.
Clicking a domain name in the prices table view now takes you to a breakdown page.

It will list a domain being sold multiple times, what it sold for and on what sales platform(s).
It will also list a bunch of 'related' or 'similar' domains, based on keywords found in the domain.

This page will get some additional work in due course.

Latest Update: Bulk Whois CSV download

To some it may be useful - I have added a button to download a CSV of the Whois results table.
The button can be found at the bottom of the table after query is complete, and table populated with results.

Latest Update: Domain Sales Email Template Generator

Nothing major, but something that some may find useful.

I was looking through some old posts and came across a frequently asked question here on the forum about outbound domain sale email templates. So I picked out one of the domains mentioned, and created a generator.

All you need to provide is Your Name (required), Domain (required) and contact details (not required).
Once the form has been submitted, the generated template will appear, with a useful set of links if the domain is multi-keyword (multi-keyword is defined by hyphenated or CamelCased domain names).

Latest Update: Domain prices table Whois button

Added a new green button to the domain prices table.
Clicking this will open up a modal containing the Whois data directly.

How do the keywords work? I notice on some domains it's not set.

At some point I may run all records through some kind of dictionary, allowing me to tag and group records by keyword/niche, but currently it is as simple as CamelCased or Hyphenated words that determine a 'keyword'.
