Hi Guys

any chance some of you could have a look at the website : movie slots
and let me know thoughts about the design / layout etc

Many thanks

I would imagine anyone with a reasonably poor internet connection would get bored, page load is 20MB which on average a "heavy page" would be around 1.2MB so your going to be super duper slow loading for some people.

In all honesty I didnt really get what the site was, If its designed to get people to act on some call to actions I wouldnt have the grid images, too much time given to people to think about what they want to do.............you want people to act on something they like the look of, not wait........think about it and then possibly leave because the brain engaged.

Is there a Family Guy Movie? Thought it was still in the 'as and when' stage.

I would personally have made the grid smaller, with boxes.

It took me a little while to work out what the site was about too, but I don't think it's a bad idea at all. Maybe add bit of clarity via a couple of lines of text at the top of the page, and possibly reduce image quality to improve load times.

Same for me, didn't have a clue what the site was until having a good luck around, which I wouldn't have done if it wasn't to offer an opinion. May need to address this with some initial text or strap line to give an indication.

thanks for the feedback folks

will be making some changes :)

... and you've got no contact, privacy, website disclaimer, cookies policy, affiliate earnings disclosure pages ...
For SEO you could do with sitemap, robots.txt etc etc

don't need affiliate earnings disclaimer, i'm not promoting any affiliate program aimed at webmasters.
the only affiliate related stuff is links to other websites promoting the betting offers
No cookies are set on our site ( only on the site they visit e.g ladbrokes etc
Privacy - don't capture any details on the site so don't need this

Could do a contact page I suppose

Sitemap file is there so no need for sitemap page
robots.txt - missed that one but I allow all anyway which would be the same as not having one

Hi,

Affiliate earnings Disclaimer ...
Nothing to do with webmasters. I presume you are an affiliate of Sky Vegas for example?
If you make commissions on any link click thoughs/sign-ups, you should declare that on the site.
See here: https://www.affiliatedisclosure.com/affiliate/faq.php

Cookies - Not sure if it counts but your favicon drops a cookie. If it does count you have to have a privacy policy.

It's in your own interests to have a disclaimer, self-protection.

Never thought about that.
Thanks for pointing it out

Just trying to help - I've been caught out in the past!
All the best

Contact details are also required on UK websites, not just a contact form

Not to mention, getting kw links from this forum is pretty much pointless in that niche.

It's so off-topic for the forum content here that it's like waving a red flag saying "Google! Over here! I am link building, look!" :)

Wasn't really in it for the link lol

Was a very quick way of getting all pages picked up, the sitemap took ages
