You won't have wasted the money if you develop the domains yourself.
However, as far as the .org.uk extension is concerned, I would say the only domain names worth pursuing would be major generics such as mobilephones.org.uk. If you look at Sedo.co.uk then it doesn't include the .org.uk extension in its lookup results, and that's because the extension generally does not attract type-in traffic.
Yes, well, could be the master plan to develop lots of sites But i'm surprised that these wouldn't be worth say £100-200 each perhaps, or do you think reg fee?
Certainly they are worth more than reg fee, but I don't anticipate a quick sale and would advise sticking with pure generic terms for .org.uk at the moment, i.e. banking.org.uk and credit.org.uk etc

I think the general opinion is that they are worth nothing unless someone wants those keywords badly enough to get a .org.uk. Annoying that it is, sedo doesn't even show them in searches...so that speak volumes IMO. I have purchased a few and stopped at that!
