Hi all

i am looking for a parking hoping script. Basically i want to park domains at various parking sites then have a script to distribute the pages it displays, for example if i park domaina.co.uk the first visitor will goto parking site a then the next visitor will goto parking site b, the third visit parking site c and so on, then just loop.

Is this possible?

If anyone has this or can do this please can you pop me a pm or msn me.

Thanks

paul

I'd be interested in this too if anybody has any ideas.

Thanks
Stephen.

You could set up 3 different A records in your zonefile, all pointing to 3 different servers.

Those servers could have .htaccess files forwarding on the requests to your 3 different parking pages.

Is it worth it though?

As a parking service we have no problem with this, but I was wondering what you were trying to achieve?

If its a comparison, then you wont get an even comparison because not all of your users are the same, and not all of them will convert proportionately. It could actually skew figures from each service if you are doing it that frequently.

Rotating monthly or weekly would be a bit more sensible.

Then pick the service that pays best! :)

How do you make sure that each parking services will receive equal traffic with this?

I know a script which automaticly changes the parking provider with one click but as streamic said I still don't get what the catch is by looping.

You cant guarantee an equal split by applying the round-robin DNS in this way but its the simplest, albeit crude, way of sending visitors to different parking companies.

i know some people who have looked into this and found it has made little differnace so far.

that being said i am going to get someone to code something up for me. if anyone would be willing to split the costs let me know.
