Labscape is an independent software testing company. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to fill a permanent vacancy as a website functionality tester. Applicants must be highly proficient.

Website / Software Tester

For this role experience is far more important than qualifications. We specialise in exploratory testing so you will need to demonstrate skills and a thorough understanding of this discipline. All testing is performed manually via the user interface so we do not require knowledge of any test tools or server-side technologies.

Candidates for both roles should have several years experience of testing or development of interactive web-based applications such as e-commerce, e-learning, online banking etc. Good knowledge of front-end web technologies such as HTML and CSS is expected, and knowledge of JavaScript and Flash would be a bonus.

After a period of induction and training you will run your own projects, so strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

This is a mid-level to senior role with a salary in the range £30k to £45k. We are currently located in Staines and will be moving to central London around the end of 2008.

This is a full-time permanent role, and we cannot consider contractors, part-time working or remote working. Applicants must be resident in the UK, have a full permit to work in the UK and live within reasonable travel time from our office. We cannot consider applicants working under the HSMP or any other such scheme.
