phpbb spam (how can i delete before a certain date)

I don't know how to do it but good luck with the forum.
I think you're going to need to look seriously at registration process, becasue there are teams of people (from India etc) spamming forums to death, and rather than being automated they register and post manually, so it's very difficult to stop them.
I beleive that they find the forums by performing a Google search for "powered by phpbb" etc, and "register" or "leave comments", etc for blogs and other sites where you can post - so if you can remove those phrases from your site it might help a bit.
