Cheers guys, helps when you've got a serious buyer!

He insisted on Escrow and after my first time using it I must say I was disappointed by the lack of GBP transfer. We did Euro in the end with them picking up the Escrow fee.

Should have used sedo escrow which supports GBP.

Because the domain was on Sedo as well as my own landing page Sedo wanted 15% purely to handle the Escrow transaction!

Obviously as the buyer was paying the fee they baulked at that!

I'm wondering if anyone has tried EscrowHill.com as they claim to support GBP.

No the buyer came to the domain direct.

Caught out by the

Please be advised that if you reach an agreement outside of the Sedo Marketplace but you want to use the Sedo Escrow Service to conduct the transfer, and the domain is listed for sale on the Sedo website, the commission fee is still 15%( see minimum commissions).

There are some GBP services but not very well known. This makes it a risk for the buyer and in this case they weren't convinced!

Assume you might mean Transpact. EscrowHill is operated by someone who worked for Escrow.com for many years apparently. I haven't found anyone who's used them yet.

I was lucky to grab it! I missed it the first time he listed it but grabbed it the second time.

It failed to get a single bid when I put it on domainlore but I just liked the name.

Previously I'd touted the name out to people offering virtual assistant services so it's going to be interesting to see what the new owner does with it. I have asked but they've not revealed!
