A study released today has revealed that almost three quarters of children under five use the internet every day, many unsupervised. Child safety experts have warned about the dangers that face young children on the internet and urge parents to make sure children are supervised when using the web. Professor Tanya Byron is among the psychologists cautioning parents to oversee their child’s online activity because of the many risks which can be involved. She is concerned that a number of parents are not fully aware of the dangers of the internet, having not grown up with it themselves.
