This week Sedo has launched a new tool called the "Domain Value Indicator" - a bit of a strange name seeing as it does not actually give any monetary value to the domain.
To see the tool, go to any Sedo sales page and click on "View Domain Value Indicators"
The variables include:
What do you think of their valuation logic? Seems weird to me it doesn't actually consolidate all the answers to give you summary valuation plus the view on .COM and .NET being registered long ago adds a lot of value is very American.

The variables include:
Global monthly searches (Global Exact matches for the Keyword) plus a percentage on other domains listed at Sedo.
- Regional monthly searches (Local Exact matches for the Keyword)
- Estimated cost per click on Google (noting that higher CPC values should mean a higher value domain)
- The Year the .COM variant was registered (the logic being the earlier the .COM was registered the more valuable the domain is)
- The Year the .NET variant was registered (the logic being the earlier the .NET was registered the more valuable the domain is)
- Percentage of other popular domain extensions registered
- Is it an IDN or not? (Yes / No)
