@cyberpunk - What happens when something like this is discovered is the people who find it milk the arse of it... Then when they are done with it they tell their close associates who then further milk it and leak it to the public... they leak it to cover there own tracks and then it looks like everyone is doing it and those that have already booked all the domains prior to letting anyone know about it try to slide out unnoticed.

Make no mistake, this was not made public by mistake.. it was made public once they had booked all the names they wanted and to get others on board making it harder to pinpoint 1 person who is responsible for the whole thing

I think they booked too many and because of the lag they can't stop them from being renewed. If they took one or tow they could have kept it nice and quiet, they got greedy

Apparently you thought the best that could happen is you keep them and at worst you get a refund

I hope I'm not being optimistic in thinking the worst will be a lot worse

Yes we're secretly working together so all the domains I've caught can be distributed amongst the 30+ customers who backordered them. That would be a huge benefit for Ben.
The usual 'I can't figure something out so it must be a cheat' - so predictable. Nobody ever has anything new to say. Stop expecting everything to be handed to you on a plate and actually work things out.

Has anyone read Fasthosts T&C's? Ours say that we reserve the right to transfer the domain to ourselves or a third party if you haven't renewed a domain 24 hours before it is due to be deleted.

It's within Nominet's rules for this to happen and so someone may have played a blinder here.
