Very gruesome, but unfortunately there are tonnes of stories like this from Mexico where children are threatened or used by drug cartels.:

It seems to be a country out of control with drug issues. Maybe they should legalise drugs and put the cartells out of business. I assume the United States would have a big problem with that, but existing stratgies to deal with this problem always seem to fail and the criminality that is born out of existing policies appears to benefit no-one.

Indeed, an absolute shocker of a story I do wonder what involvement the teachers had with the cartels to create such a horrific outcome.

One hopes there isn't more to this than reported - but, somehow I fear that isn't the whole picture
